SERVING TEXAS OPERATIONSPower Systems

A standby generator can spend long periods waiting for its most important assignment. Maintenance gives your team a regular opportunity to review its condition, address developing issues, and plan the work that keeps the system ready for use. Lonestar Power Systems provides preventive and predictive maintenance alongside generator diagnostics and repairs. We support commercial and industrial operators who need practical communication about their equipment, the work required, and the next steps to consider.

Preventive maintenance

Plan routine service around the equipment, its operating conditions, and its service history. The maintenance scope can be discussed with your team so that planned visits, required access, and the parts of the system being serviced are understood in advance.

Condition and performance review

Use inspections, operating observations, and available maintenance history to identify changes that deserve attention. A useful service conversation separates the condition found today from future recommendations, helping your team decide what needs to happen next.

Troubleshooting and repair

Investigate reported faults and operating problems before agreeing on the repair scope. Share symptoms, alarms, and recent changes to the equipment or facility so the service visit begins with the information available from your operators.

Service planning for facility teams

Coordinate maintenance with access requirements, operating schedules, and any restrictions on system availability. For sites with several assets, discuss how service can be organized so that equipment information and outstanding work remain easier to track.

FROM FIRST CALL TO NEXT STEP

A CLEAR PATH
FORWARD.

01

Review the equipment

Provide the generator make, model, rating, operating hours, and service history if available. Tell us whether you need a planned maintenance visit, help with a recurring fault, or an evaluation of an unfamiliar system.

02

Agree on the visit

Confirm the service scope, access arrangements, site contact, and operating restrictions. Where repair needs are not yet known, start with diagnostics and discuss the findings before further work is agreed.

03

Set the next step

Review the work completed and any remaining items. Use that information to plan repairs, future maintenance, or testing that may be appropriate for the equipment and the facility's operating priorities.

BEFORE WE GET STARTED

GOOD QUESTIONS.
STRAIGHT ANSWERS.

How often should our generator be serviced?

The schedule depends on the equipment, manufacturer guidance, operating hours, site conditions, and the way it is used. Share those details and your current maintenance records so a suitable service scope and schedule can be discussed.

Can you look at a generator with a recurring alarm?

Yes. Include the exact alarm text or code, when it appears, and whether anything changed before the problem started. Photographs of the equipment identification plate and controller display can help establish the initial service request.

Is maintenance the same as load bank testing?

They address different parts of system care. Maintenance focuses on equipment condition and service needs; load bank testing evaluates operation under an applied electrical load. Lonestar offers both, and the appropriate scope can be discussed for your site.
